Number 120: Sheryl and I are now empty nesters in Cape Town (and Onrust)!

Maya in Johannesburg; Yair, Deb, Lim & Mihle about to set up home in Gqeberha.

Sheryl, ever the artist, sees the beauty and storyline in so many things (that I often only see when she points them out to me) and she loves buying “tsatskes”. But we have been decluttering since I retired from fulltime permanent employment towards the beginning of 2018. More “tsatskes” ain’t easy when reducing rather than accumulating!!

A solution for preserving memories and telling stories within a context of “simplify”?

Fridge magnets is one them!  A special way to remember experiences, travels, events: Small, they tell a story in one picture  – retold each day when opening the fridge! And they enable moving beyond window shopping only in far flung places!

Sheryl: “I have been collecting fridge magnets from all over for many years. These are some of the many we have, reminding us of exciting adventures in wonderful places scattered around the world”.
