Number 96: My late Mom Fanny z”l always wore this necklace.

I never thought to ask her how she acquired it and for what occasion it had been bought. Before she died she told me that she wanted me to have it.

Unfortunately from all the wear, it had been weakened considerably and in fact broke at the time she fell ill towards the end of her life. I took it to a jeweller to have it repaired and was told that the whole necklace would need to be redone at considerable cost. Instead, l chose to hang it in my bedroom, where l can see it daily as a beautiful remembrance of my Mom.
